On Device Portal (ODP) for Telecom Operators
* Self service for balances, bills, and more * Enhanced customer experience * Instant call center access
Make Your Customer Promoters with Aradiom QuickOperator™:
Aradiom’s QuickOperator™ is a Java ME On Device Portal that enables operators to capitalize on the huge potential of mobile self service by helping customers help themselves. This increases customer satisfaction and loyalty through high quality, consistent and true 24/7 service. An operator can provide basic services such as checking the balance, viewing the latest bill, and managing basic operator services, to more premium services such as managing multiple subscriptions and instant call center support. These capabilties contribute to making customers promoters while decreasing costs.
Over the air download and updates: QuickOperator™ includes version verification, which determines the application version in use and updates it, if necessary. Partial updates increase convenience – only the application part affected is downloaded and changed. An upgrade can also be an application extension, when new or enhanced functionality is introduced.
Convenience through offline usage: QuickOperator™ can be used offline and connection to server established only when needed. The application is also much faster (and more economical) to use than mobile browsing, as the user does not need to wait for the menus and pages to load.
Attractive user interface and sophisticated use of graphics: QuickOperator™ offers more more appealing and higher resolution images then are available with mobile browsing solutions.
Ease of use and optimized navigation: QuickOperator™’s navigational hierarchy resembles a phone’s own user interface that makes the user feel comfortable and in charge when using the application.
Java ME (J2ME)
Aradiom has chosen Java ME (J2ME) as the language for its QuickOperator™ solution in order to benefit from “Mobile Java Security," meaning each program runs in its own restrictive "sandbox." This prevents the program from accessing the files or memory of another program or accessing the hardware of the device in the uncontrolled way. Java is supported on all Symbian handsets as well as most Windows Mobile.
The Challenge for Telecoms:
Unnecessarily high churn is costing mobile operators billions. The average churn rate in Western Europe is 22% (Forrester 2005). 53% of MMS users and 58% of mobile internet browser users in the UK have switched operators in the last three years (LogicaCMG, November 2005).
Operators understand that differentiating on customer service is the key to customer retention and increasing Net Promoter scores. Over 30% of an operator’s headcount is already in customer service. An average call to a call center now costs 6€, and call numbers are growing year by year (McKinsey, Automated Self-Service Comes to Telcos, February 2005).
Rich User Experience Client
Customer experience is the key to success. Great customer care combines convenience and control. Consumers are looking for and willing to adopt services which are useful, secure, convenient, and simple to use, and they are looking for them on their mobile phone.
Secure
Aradiom QuickOperator™ uses industry standard security in conjunction with one-time password (OTP) and other Two Factor Authentication (2FA) solutions to deliver a highly secure framework out of the box. QuickOperator™ provides full security against untrusted downloads, malicious key logging, and phishing attempts. The mobile operator/carrier controls which applications its subscribers can download - and the download source. SSL connections are supported and enforceable. QuickOperator™ comes with Aradiom’s best in class two factor authentication solution (see Aradiom SolidPass ).
